Alexa Chung, It.

I remember spending a lot of time in middle school watching It's on with Alexa Chung. It felt like Alexa fell off the face of the Earth for awhile after the show ended, or maybe I just wasn't paying enough attention. I have to say I was pretty out of the loop with her as she became more popular. It really felt like one day I woke up and all anyone wanted was to be like Alexa Chung again. How she did it? I'll never know, but to say the least I was really excited when I started seeing this book all over the internet. I immediately asked for it for my birthday and began reading it the second I got it. I was hoping it would be full of style tips and stuff about her modelling  when really there wasn't much this book offered. It felt like a lot of really really short anecdotes that served no purpose. I read this book in less than two nights just because it there was absolutely no substance to her writings. Now and then she told a little bit of a funny joke or had a nice story about her childhood but for the most part it was random and very unstructured. This review makes it seem like I truly didn't like it. It had good moments but it just wasn't what I thought it would be. There could have been so much potential for her to write a good trendy little book. If I had to pick, I would say her little drawings amused me the most. I decided to include my favorite page from the book.
